I have always enjoyed writing. It wasn't until the Pandemic that I have had time to pursue it again. Now, I always have stuff on the go and I am always waiting to hear back on things sent out (waiting is the hard part!) Since July 2020, I have written over a 100 short stories.
Unfortunately, I can't publish them here and still send them out for submissions. Let me know if you want to be on my first readers' list.
I am currently working on a picture book series about a kid with a great imagination. The first books is titled "My neighbour is a vampire". I have sent to an agent.
I have also written an 80K RomCom Romance story called Destination that I have sent out for submission calls with no luck so far..
And I have a mid-grade chapter book story called Hanson & Petal that I have sent out. Cross your fingers for me.

Off Topic Publishing - This is a Canadian publisher, editor and contest link rolled into one. The contest has a small cost to submit but the prize is half of the submissions collected and judges provide feedback. I have won 2x and had 3 HMs.
Press 53 - free monthly 53-word contest (won 1x) among other contests and submissions.
Blank Spaces - A Canadian Literary Arts Magazine
Propertius Press - The publisher of my "coming" picture book. Lots of other good books published.
Wyldblood Press - Speculative fiction - lots of great calls and free fiction to read on their site.
Black Ink Fiction - speculative fiction - horror mostly. Many great anthologies.
Furious Fiction - This is a great writing centre (many courses) and they have a super (and free! but alas no longer a cash prize!) quarterly contest. So far I have been long listed 5 times. (sigh - always the bridesmaid)
